Top 5 Navigation and Maps Apps Performance in New Zealand Q4 2023

Throughout the fourth quarter of 2023, the top Navigation and Maps applications in New Zealand displayed diverse trends in their weekly downloads and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Google Maps Go saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 6.9K in the final week of December. Active users fluctuated throughout the quarter, starting at approximately 411K and ending at about 420K.

Google Earth experienced a slight decline in downloads, reaching a low of 1.4K in early December but rebounding to 1.8K by the end of the month. The app's active users followed a similar trend, dropping to 6.6K in mid-December before climbing back to 7.3K by the end of the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic demonstrated a significant increase in weekly downloads, culminating in 2.2K downloads in the last week of December. Active users grew consistently, starting at 25.3K and reaching 30.4K by the end of the quarter.

CamperMate: Au & NZ Road Trip showed a notable rise in downloads, peaking at 1.6K in the final week of December. Active users also increased, starting at 761 and ending at 1.5K.

GPS, Maps, Voice Navigation saw a consistent pattern in weekly downloads, with a peak of 958 in early October and ending the quarter with 855 downloads. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 7.8K and ending at 7.6K. The app also generated a weekly revenue of around $102 in late October.
